The members of the band Frankie observe the everyday in a self-built laboratory.

The first show Laguna Beach (2019), already illustrated their potential as a music band and as theatre-makers. What once began as a motorised puppet band grew into its own self-made universe – an atmospheric and imaginative but brutal landscape. On stage, the band, which is the epicentre of the performance, was surrounded by various installations – each in its own specific context -, live animations, motorised objects and musical instruments.

Like Laguna Beach, L.I.A.R. forms a mix of video, music, installation, models and performance. The performance works with old analogue equipment and self-conceived systems: an approach that produces cumbersome and humorous situations.
