Trui Chielens graduated with a series of pencil drawings to Josse De Pauw’s theatre text Zetelkat. She publishes children’s books with publishers Querido, De Eenhoorn and Lannoo, illustrates cultural campaigns, and makes work for theatre houses, newspapers and magazines such as De Standaard, De Tijd, Feeling and Knack. Her melancholic illustrations hover between poetic dream and reality, with the figure as the benchmark.
