Beneath the colourful surface of Bjørn Rune Lie’s work lies a slight sense of unease. Throughout the years, he developed a playful graphic language rich in texture and detail. Using marbled paper, rubber stamps, and stencils, Lie meticulously layers intricate worlds packed with visual surprises. While the finished images may appear carefully controlled, much of his practice revolves around welcoming happy accidents.
