36,000 years ago, an artist and their apprentice descend into a deep cave to record animals on its walls, as their tribe prepares to hunt. In the darkness, the boundary between survival and the spirit world begins to blur, and the painted creatures seem to stir to life. Through paint and sand on glass, Traces evokes these ancient images as they emerge, dissolve, and reappear.
